Standout features include precorrection circuitry and VPe crest factor reduction with real time distortion scheme for improved transmitter output, effectively reducing the cost of HD Radio adoption exponentially at higher -14 dBc or -10 dBc injection levels. Our HD Radio transmitters and associated products are optimally designed for all implementation and configuration options.

At last, one transmitter for all operating modes. FMi Series transmitters are easily switchable between FM mode, HD Radio only mode, and FM + HD Radio mode, so you can broadcast in analog now and update to digital later. The FMi Series is available in models ranging from 350 W FM+HD Radio/140 W HD Radio only to 14 kW FM+HD Radio/5.6 kW HD Radio only. Each comes with a high-performance exciter and Exgine technology to eliminate the need for PC-based HD Radio equipment at the transmitter site.

With up to 25 kW total power output for FM+HD Radio operation and better than 55% overall efficiency, the FMi T series out-powers and out-performs other HD Radio tube transmitters. Outstanding features include the use of tetrodes with greater heat dissipation characteristics for longer tube life and wideband grid input for exceptional stereo, HD Radio, and SCA performance.  

The FMi T series come in 17 kW, 21 kW and 25 kW models, and includes a high-performance exciter with direct-to-channel FM carrier generation and Exgine technology to eliminate the need for PC-based HD Radio equipment at the transmitter site.

The XPi 10esp easily fits into any HD Radio conversion plan. It combines in one compact unit the main and any secondary HD Radio signals, along with associated messagecasting data, into a single HDC stream for broadcast. The XPi 10esp integrates with most late-model transmitters and can be placed at the studio or the RF site; no need to move the audio processor or other equipment in order to add HD Radio to your signal.

Broadcasters appreciate the FXi 60/250W exciter for its flexibility, espcially when it comes to HD Radio. This exciter can be changed on the fly to operate in FM only, HD Radio only or both, and has adaptive predistortion pre-correct for optimum HD Radio output mask performance. It comes with optional plug-in Exgine card to modulate the HD Radio OFDM carrier for adding multicasting one channel or several channels at a time. And, for broadcasters interested in elevated HD Radio power boosts, only the FXi has VPe, an innovative peak-to-average ratio reduction and transmitter linearization through pre-distortion technology to increase transmitter efficiency and output power.

Add this unit onto your air chain at any time to get more out of the bits you’re sending over HD Radio. Our IDi 20 data importer is useful for multiplexing and provisioning the many types of HD Radio content. Use it to allocate bits for main and secondary audio channels, and to divvy up the bits you’ll need for ongoing datacasts or for the occasional multi- or datacast.

Continuing the tradition of quality and performance is the new line of STXe Digital Exciters. The STXe line of exciters provide audio performance equivalent to the FXi Series, but in a smaller package and with a smaller price. STXe exciters are operational in FM, FM + HD Radio, HD Radio only, DRM+, or FM + DRM+ modes, and range in power from 5W to 500W.
