You will have two opportunities to participate:

    Primary Session
    Tuesday, September 19
    2pm until 5pm
    Hilton Anatole Hotel Miro Room
    Second Chance Session
    Wednesday, September 20
    2pm until 5pm
    Hilton Anatole Hotel Travertine Room

You’ll receive invaluable information, and the Info-Session is free to all invited broadcasters, although registration is requested.

The program has three parts. Attend one or all three based on your interests.

2 to 3pm – HD Radio Conversion: Processes, pitfalls, strategies and successes

We’ll look at how stations are moving to HD Radio and how the move is impacting their operations, listenership and bottom line. Multicasting and Messagecasting will be explored, along with a look at how Internet Broadcasting has played a role in stations’ HD Radio implementations. This hour is for both non-technical and technical radio broadcasters, but with emphasis for managers and programmers.

3 to 4pm – HD Radio Conversion: Technical planning and realization

The equipment used to convert stations to HD Radio continues to evolve. We’ll look at current system architectures, how HD Radio interleaves with analog equipment/operations and look ahead at upcoming developments. This technical discussion will be conducted to address the needs of engineers, check writers and other station decision-makers.

4 to 5pm – HD Radio Conversion: Nuts and bolts technical issues

Based on the conversion experiences of hundreds of stations, we’ll look at several technical areas that require special attention when converting to HD Radio. Topics are appropriate to both those who have never performed an HD Radio conversion and those who have multiple conversions under their belts. Primarily for engineers.
