BE celebrated five decades of commitment to the radio industry on June 18, 2009!

Employees, friends and community leaders gathered at the Quincy, IL headquarters for a celebration looking back over the past 50 years.

Announced during the celebration were winners of BE's new product promotional drawing. WXLV-FM of Schnecksville, PA, won an AudioVAULT FleX studio makeover and WMMM-FM in Verona, WI, will receive a new BE STX LP 1 kW low power transmitter.

Jim Mentesti, President of the Great River Economic Development Foundation, presented BE with the city's Official Proclamation on behalf of Mayor John Spring.

On display during the celebration were past company archives alongside today's marketing material.

All BE employees in attendance gathered for the 50th Anniversary photo by the company sign.
